What goes around comes around

Dando un’occhiata alle prossime tendenze per la primavera-estate 2011, ho avuto (come tantissime di voi, credo) una netta sensazione: più che metter mano al portafoglio, bisognerà mettersi di buona lena a frugare tra le montagne e montagne di roba accatastata negli armadi, schiacciata nei borsoni, riposta nelle valigie e, soprattutto, accuratamente sottratta alla vista dei nostri uomini (donne, mamme, etc.).

Eh si, perché non basta doverle “riporre”,  le nostre cose bisogna pure occultarle o, meglio, camuffarle, per evitare lunghe ed estenuanti discussioni con gli uomini (donne, mamme, etc.) di cui sopra, in merito all’opportunità di buttar via "quello che non va".

“Quello che non va”…ma che significa?!

-se si intendesse “quello che ci sta troppo piccolo o troppo grande”, la questione è presto risolta perché, nel primo caso, quei 2 kg li perderemo al massimo in una settimana e, nel secondo, si sa che “in quei giorni lì” – si, proprio quelli in cui c’è chi ha voglia di fiondarsi col paracadute o andarsene in campagna a  raccogliere mele con jeans bianchi superattillatissimi - a noi, serve principalmente qualcosa di comodo da indossare;

- se si intendesse poi, ancor peggio, “quello che è ormai fuori moda”, allora non avrebbe neanche senso perder tempo a spiegare a dei profan(ator)i il valore assoluto di un capo senza tempo, né tanto meno far notare loro che la  moda non si sottrae affatto (anzi!) ai corsi e ricorsi storici di vichiana memoria. Ignoranti.

Occultare, camuffare, disseminare qua e là le nostre cose è quindi un modo per evitare discussioni con i nostri cari osteggiatori e, inoltre, metterle al sicuro da eventuali loro crisi di pulizia compulsiva (che già ci bastano le nostre…)

Questo, tuttavia, rende ancor più ardua la nostra recherche: perciò, armiamoci di santa pazienza e buon lavoro a tutte! 

Giving a look to the next tendencies for spring-summer 2011, I had (as many of you, I think) one clear sensation: more than putting hand to the wallet, it will be necessary cheerly start  to rummage through the mountains of stuff piled up in the wardrobes, squashed in bags, put back in the suitcases and, above all, carefully subtracted our men's (women’s, mothers’, etc.) sight . Oh yes, because it is not enough to have carefully  "stown” our things, we also have to hide or, better, camouflage them, to avoid long and weary arguments with men, women, mothers, etc.  regarding the opportunity of  throwing away "what doesn't fit".

…however, what does it mean?!?!

- if it means “too small or too large”, the issue is resolved soon because in the first case, we’ll be losing those pounds in a week, and, in the second case, you know that “in those days” - yes, those days when there’s who want to parachute or go to the countryside to pick apples with white superskinny jeans -  us, however, is primarily something comfortable to wear;

-or, if it means "out-of-date”, not even worth waisting time to explain to “profanes” (and desecrators!) the absolute value of a timeless garment, or to point out to them that also (specially!) in fashion world is valid the expression “what goes around comes around”. Ignorants.

Conceal, disguise, disseminate our things here and there is therefore a way to avoid arguments with our  beloved opposers and, besides, to protect our belongings from any of their compulsive cleaning crisis (ours are just enough…)
This, however, makes it even more difficult our recherche: So let’s arm ourselves with patience and… good job all of us!
