| Dolce&Gabbana fall/winter 2012 |
Ogni tanto sembrano svanire, ma poi fanno sempre ritorno. E cominciano a spuntare su abiti ed accessori, in ricami discreti o in un’esplosione di luce sfavillante… Dal Glam-rock anni ’70 agli eccessi degli anni ’80, dal cyberpunk anni ’90, fino ai giorni nostri, le paillettes accendono le serate di festa e non solo, rendono glam e sfavillante ogni outfit e chi le indossa. Portabilissime e chic nei toni dell'argento, in versione maxi su una gonna mini, insieme ad una camicia dal taglio maschile e rigoroso ed un blazer grigio. Quale donna può resistere al richiamo “ancestrale” di pailletes e lustrini? Che da bambine ci facevano brillare gli occhi alla sola vista?
Nessuna, credo…neanche quelle che si ostinano a non ammetterlo. E a non cedere.
In versione maxi o mini, in argento, oro, o variopinte, per il prossimo autunno inverno 2012, la maison Prada le ha fatte sfilare insieme a pellicce, cappotti in pitone e stivali trompe l’oeil su abiti dalle linee pulite e lineari; Stefano Dolce e Domenico Gabbana le hanno proposte in mille modi, per un total look iper glamour o semplicemente per illuminare e rendere intrigante il più maschile dei tailleur. E le hanno ricamate su clutches, borse (adorabile la versione mini della Miss Sicily) pantaloni, abiti e gonne preziose come gioielli…giacche che sembrano uscite da dietro le quinte di uno spettacolo di cabaret e cappotti che sembrano giacche da uomo, grandi ed avvolgenti. Come quelle che le più fortunate si ritrovano sulle spalle nelle fresche serate di fine estate…

Every so often they seem to vanish, but they always return. And they begin to bloom on clothes and accessories, in discrete embroideries or in a sparkling light explosion... From the ‘70s Glam-rock to the '80s excesses, from the '90s cyberpunk until today, sequins turn on party nights and not only, making each outfit brilliant and glam as the woman who wears it. Easily wearable in maxi version on a mini skirt, with a simple man shirt and a blazer. What woman can resist the ancestral appeal of sequins and spangles? That used to make shine every little girls’ eyes at their mere sight?
No woman can, I think. Although she insists on not admitting it. And not surrendering.
In macro or mini version, silver, gold or multicolored,
for next fall/winter 2012, maison Prada has made them parade with furs and python-print knee-socks, on dresses with clean and linear lines; Stefano Dolce and Domenico Gabbana have proposed them in a thousand ways, for an ultra glamorous total look or simply to illuminate and make intriguing the most sober tailleur that seems to be borrowed from man’s closet. And they have embroidered on clutches, bags (adorable the Miss Sicily in a mini version!) pants, dresses and skirts precious as jewels ... jackets that seem to come from behind the scenes of a cabaret show and coats that look like men's jackets, large and enveloping. Just like those that the luckiest women find on their shoulders in the cool evenings of late summer...
