Pole dance, pole dancing, pole gym, pole fit…but, please, don’t call it lap dance!!!

Me and my Madi...

Paris - Tour Eiffel

only in New York...
Pole dance è sfida, lividi e fatica. Muscoli doloranti e pelle in fiamme.

You surely know the meaning of pole dance, pole aerobic, pole fit, pole gym ... however you call it, it is a sport that has nothing to do with the “lap dance” (which is an erotic dance that a stripper performs while straddling a customer's lap). What could  lead to confuse the two realities is just the presence of the pole (or perch or as you prefer).
Nevertheless, while in lap dance the  pole has a  merely
choreographic function (indeed it’s often substituted by  chairs or other “supports”) and vaguely "evocative", in the case of pole dance, pole is (clearly!) an essential element.
However, the pole is not the main element of this discipline.
The real "tool" that characterizes this sport is the body. This discipline in fact, more than any other, gives you the awareness of your body , the space it occupies, its weight, its potential and also its limitations.
To overcome them.
I played sport at a competitive level and I learned as a child to "renunce"... the classmate party, because of the upcoming competition,  or the cinema  with friends because  in the afternoon I had my  training. And my homeworks. Notwithstanding, of those days I only remember the joy of success and the pure fun that erased all the effort. As  an adult, the pole dance made me feel again the same sensations ... thanks to this sport I have learned again, first of all,  that you never stop learning. And improving yourself. And that with  work (the hard one) and sacrifices (the small and the big ones) you can get unbelievable results. Like, for example,  doing (finally!)  a perfect “ scorpio” or “shoulder mount” ... However the result is almost a detail. It 's challenging yourself, the work to push yourself  beyond your limits, the exact perception of your body, wich is the only “tool” you have and, at the same time,  your antagonist. . Pole dance is challenge, bruises and fatigue. Sore muscles and burning skin. It’s much more than a dance or an “erotic game”…
Because when the game is tough, the toughs start to play…

Blue is in fashion this year

Oscar De La Renta
Emilio Pucci

Yves Saint Laurent

Versace

Blue is definitely one of the colors that better expresse the desire for freshness and vitality that comes out from these autumn-winter 2010/2011 collections. In its most brilliant nuances then, as the "electric", provides a boost of energy even to look the most sober outfits.  And it’s expecially with black that  we have seen it on this autumn-winter catwalk, from Versace to Emilio Pucci, from Burberry to  Oscar De La Renta, from Armani to YSL. Neither I have resisted to this trend (going beyond my teen-ager taboo: blue+black no way!) and this interpretation of mine, minidress+blazer, with vaguely rock accessorizes is definitely cool and relatively low-cost. For the joy of  my finances. That thank me.
I wish you all a good quasi-week-end

Hvala`meni. Zelim Vam sve najbolje za kvazi vikend.

New York State of mind

snow in Central Park

New York  is  unique or, better still, it is the City par excellence. After having experienced a few months  in this amazing city, I feel the need to go back at least once (twice, ok) a year.
It 'just a feeling that binds me to its places, the colors and scents. The snow in Central Park and the stifling heat of August. The shops where you can get lost and find little treasures.
And that smell... a mix of smog, kebabs, hot dogs, blending with the omnipresent  tall coffee I have under my nose. New York can not be described. It is a sensation, a feeling. It should be lived.
 Have a wonderful  day.

Treba ga doziveti. Zelim vam divan dan.

Red is red

Maybe because in these days we have been bombarded, in more or less subliminal way, with  images of hearts, roses, and kisses, maybe because the red will be trendy in next season (but when ever the red has been "out"?!)  and on the catwalk and the magazines we have seen it in all its nuances from the ruby to the fuchsia, from the scarlet red to the strawberry (more or less opportunely mixed) revisited - as they say - in fact, unnatural. Because the red "in and of itself” is red, and only if you mix it with other colors turns to pink, "orange", and so on.
Maybe... anyway I woke up this morning craving for red. The true one. That of  Valentine’s heart and  the red light quarter,  that of  the muleta that deceives the bull and the ribbon for  the struggle against Aids. And, given the temperature, I propose you  on a garment  that I especially love, the coat. Ideally with a total black look, basic jeans, a minidress and patent leather décolleté. A few accessories. Leopard print scarf or zebra-striped  ballet pumps  for a chic and ultra-feminine result. After all, if  it’s true that symbolizes love, power, dignity, courage, martyrdom, cruelty and passion, no doubt, red is female.
Kiss you.
